What’s New

Our goal is to bring new toy lines to Fairbanks every year. Since it is our first year as new owners, the job was pretty simple.

Here are Shane’s two top picks:

Individually made and handcrafted, high-quality bows, arrows, and quiver bags that are made in the USA.

Loog is a line of guitars designed to make it fun and easy to play music.

Kyndall’s two top pick:

Little Adventures is the finest quality in princess dresses, and boy’s costumes to help your child’s imagination grow. Childhood is an adventure.

Ungle Goose blocks are handcrafted in Grand Rapids, Michigan, using choice materials from around the Great Lakes. And yes, they are 100% made in the USA. Our son will be getting the German block set this Christmas.

New and fun toys keep rolling in! Some things we’ve seen at the toy show so we know how it looks. Other stuff, we order a sampling to gauge if it is a line we want to carry. Two lines that we have gotten recently that have blown us away has been American Plastic Toys and Excite Army figures.

American Plastic Toys are exactly what the name imples – American made plastic toys from lawnmowers, trucks, sand tables, wagons, kitchens, and more.

Excite Army figures remind me of GI Joes of the 1980s but cooler and more realistic.

I’ve been slacking on the website but if you follow us on Facebook, I’ve been better keeping up on posting  all the fun stuff that has been rolling throughout March and April! We have been recieving freight almost weekly and I constantly have to remind myself that I do not (and cannot) bring it all home with me (we did bring home the boardgames Ticket to Ride and Munchkin). Our baby section has grown, the science section is plump, wooden trains restocked, amazing wood blocks from Uncle Goose are in, toddler balance bikes from Kazam are ready to test the pavement, magnetic action figures, newly designed piggy banks, and so much more. At the toy show in March, we ordered from 73 different companies and that is only the tip of the iceberg! It is one of those, you got to come in and see it all for yourself!

Our shelves were looking a little empty after the holiday rush, but we have been busy restocking them. It is our Christmas in January!

We got a large shipment of Melissa and Doug in. My favorite has been the Melissa and Doug dress up outfits! Mermaids, vets, doctors, construction, knights, and more!

One order of adult puzzles have arrived and a second one is on its way. We also got in several different card shufflers and hand card holders.

We have started to get in the 2018 Playmobil. The first batch of sled dog teams are sold out, but the backorder is on a barge headed north along with the NHL hockey rink. We have some of the camping and ski lodge sets in. It seems that 2018 is a very Alaskan themed year for Playmobil!
